Plan to come and join with others for this evening of prayer.

Prepare by "Fasting" in some way leading up to this event. Some may choose fasting from food, others may try something very different.

We are suggesting that you might consider a "Media Fast" from Tuesday - Thursday, January 21 - 23 leading up to when we will gather together.

Not looking at our FaceBook or Twitter accounts, browsing the internet, or watching TV may be a real challenge for many of us. Use that time instead to pray and reflect on what God is doing with us.

Recently this helpful quote from Henri Nouwen was shared with our Grace Chapel Leadership Team:

“…we  must learn to live each day, each hour, yes, each minute as a new beginning, as a unique opportunity to make everything new.  Imagine that we could live each moment as a moment pregnant with new life.  Imagine that we could live each day as a day full of promises.  Imagine that we could walk through the new year always listening to the voice saying to us ‘I have a gift for you and can’t wait for you to see it!  Imagine

…First we must send the foxes (he is referring to lies)… back to where they belong:  in their foxholes.  And then we must open our minds and our hearts to the voice that resounds through the valleys and hills of our life saying ‘let me show you where I live among my people.  My name is God -with you…”   

This will be a great way for us at Grace Chapel to launch into 2020 together!             

Preparing for January
